Our purpose and continuing goal is to provide people who are legally blind with a place of employment, opportunities to learn job skills and the training to develop a job into a rewarding career. About L C Industries

In 1936, a local civic club saw the need for a job training facility to serve people who are legally blind in the Durham, NC area. The members of that local civic club provided the financial assistance to establish what is now known as L C Industries. As of January 2005, we have steadily grown employing approximately 700 people of which 350+ are legally blind individuals and our company continues to grow and prosper at a rapid speed.

Currently, we have three manufacturing facilities, 2 Distribution Centers and 26 Base Supply Centers. The manufacturing facilities are located in Durham, NC, Hazlehurst, MS and our most recent facility in Louisville, KY. Mattresses, paper towels, napkins, plastic flatware, file folders, and paper shredders are just a few of the many products manufactured at those facilities. Our Distribution Centers are located in Durham, NC and Las Vegas, NV and distribute Skilcraft and JWOD products such as Lysol, American Lock and United Book Press to name a few. In addition, we are the first in the nation to initiate base supply and sales services to the U.S. Military through our network of Base Supply Centers.
